Potawatomi Zoo Lodge Cafe & Andean Bear Exhibit | South Bend, IN

This was a great project for Majority Builders and Alliance Architects that exhibits a lot of complicated details. The outdoor bear habitat is fenced and landscaped, giving the bears a space to enjoy. What a great experience zoo attenders will have while dining in 6435 sq. ft. "The Lodge Café and events space. Inside the Café patrons will have an up-close view of the Andean Bears in their outdoor habitat through the large windows. The large outdoor gathering plaza has several benches on its perimeter. A separate bear holding building provides shelter for the bears at night and during inclement weather.

The 2024 ABC's Award of Excellence in Construction honors the skill and creativity of the entire team – contractor, owner, architect, and engineer – responsible for an outstanding project. Majority Builders was recognized for the new Lodge Café and Andean Bear Habitat at the Potawatomi Zoo.
